Privacy Policy

The Belgian Association for Neuro-Oncology (BANO) respects the privacy of all its members and users of its site and ensures that the personal information you provide is always treated confidentially according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  We only use your minimal and essential details (Name, first name, profession, professional address and address, and –if applicable- RIZIV/INAMI registration number) to provide services that you have requested. We will not make your personal details available to third parties without your permission. We appreciate the trust you place in us, and will do everything in our power to protect your personal information.

Your personal data will be stored by the secretary and the treasurer of the association in a secured excel file on their personal computers, and on the BANO Mailchimp account (protected by a login and a password) for the management of the Newsletter.  The access to these data is strictly restricted to the board members of the BANO, for communication and membership handling purposes only.  Your personal data will be stored as long as you will stay member of the society and/or you will ask to receive the newsletters.  After deletion of your membership, the data will be kept and processed for a duration of 2 years maximum.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Neuro-oncology.be uses cookies and other technologies to track how the site is used by our visitors. This enables us to improve the quality of our services.

When you visit our website, the servers automatically store information (such as URL, IP address, browser type and time of your visit).

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Membership

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

All members of BANO are automatically listed to receive the newsletters of the society.  Should you prefer not receive these newsletter, please contact us.

Embedded content from other websites
